At Trafalgar the children are taught to understand algorithms, write, test and de-bug simple programs, organise, store, retrieve and manipulate data, communicate online safely and respectfully and recognise uses of information technology outside of school.
All the children are supervised when accessing the internet or emailing. Our access to the internet is filtered to prevent children from accessing unsuitable material.
The children have access to 2 classroom computers, laptops from the laptop trolley and iPads. All classes have an Interactive Whiteboard.
The children are also encouraged to use other equipment such as digital cameras, Beebots and video cameras across the curriculum, to ensure that they become digitally literate.
