We would like to offer you a warm welcome to Trafalgar Community Infant School. Trafalgar is a happy and caring school that offers young children exciting opportunities to learn throughout our extensive grounds.
Our Core Values are central in all that we do, and are displayed all around our school on our Trafalgar Ship. Find out more about our school vision and values by clicking on the About Us tab above.
Pupils come to school with a sense of excitement. The school has a joyous atmosphere that has been purposefully created to engage and support all pupils. They feel welcomed and cared for by the school. This includes pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) who feel accepted and supported.
Ofsted Report January 2024
The majority of our children transfer to Greenway Junior School in Year 3. We have close links with this school and regularly work together to ensure the children have a smooth transition between our schools.
We hope that you can find what you need on our website but the best way to learn about our wonderful school is to come and visit us. Please contact the School Office if you would like to know more.
Consultation Open to become part of the GLF Academy Trust
The Full Governing Body (FGB), with full support from the school’s leadership team, are considering
voluntary academisation of Trafalgar Community Infant School with GLF Schools. We have launched a formal consultation to allow you to share your views in relation to our school joining GLF Schools.
It is important to emphasise that this is a consultation and no final decision has yet been made. We will
listen to your views carefully and make an informed decision only after the consultation has closed.
We will be holding an in-person event to provide an opportunity for you to come and hear from members of the FGB, GLF’s CEO Warwick Sharp, and other senior representatives from GLF Schools. We are keen to hear from you and want to provide the opportunity for you to ask any questions.
The meeting will be held on Thursday 22 October, 5.30pm to 6.30pm in the school hall.
If you would like to attend, please email office@trafalgarinfant.com so that we can account for the
expected number of attendees.
Please take the time to read the full set of questions and answers provided in the letter.
When you are ready to share your views, we would be grateful if you could use the online form (link below) to share your views or you can email the school office if preferred..
The consultation will close at 11.59pm on Sunday 8 November
