At Trafalgar we have a well-stocked library opposite our main entrance that all members of our school community are encouraged to visit. We have chapter books, picture books, poetry books, and all sorts of non-fiction texts! There are also puppets and toys in there for your child to read to, or to snuggle up to while they are in the library.
The school library computers can be used by parents/carers to access online learning resources.
Children can borrow books, and can ‘check them out’ using the ‘satellite library’ on their classroom computer.
We also have a large range of story sacks that can be checked out and used at home. These contain key texts as well as puppets, props, etc. to bring the books to life (see the link below for more information). Please see the office staff if you would like to borrow one of our story sacks.
All our classes visit the library frequently to develop a love of books.
We also have a ‘digital library’ available 24/7 on Google Classroom filled with books, audio books, and other reading resources (see the link below).
